Most people would never of heard of Michel Debien. Michel paid Cycle SuperStore an unexpected visit, yesterday (July 4th) during the Irish leg of his epic 14,247 Km cycle around Europe. Michel, had already visited Spain, Portugal, Andorra, France and Wales before arriving in Rosslare yesterday morning. He was making his way from Rosslare to Belfast when disaster struck.  On the outskirts of Dublin, his pannier broke. Michel was stuck, as his pannier was used to store his belongings and had no idea how to source a replacement. A motorists came to Michel’s aid and help transport both Michel and his bike to Cycle Superstore.

As soon as Michel arrived in the shop, two members of the Cycle SuperStore team came to his assistance. It quickly became apparent that none of panniers in stock would suit his bike. However with a small bit of fabrication, an existing pannier was able to fit his bike and Michel was soon on his way.

Michel is undertaking this epic voyage to highlight the dangers cyclists encounter on a daily basis. A number of years ago Michel was involved in a serious accident while out on his bike, which resulted in him being in a coma for 15 days.
