Yesterday saw the launch of the Wild Atlantic Way Sportif. This new event has the backing of Failte Ireland and is being run by cycling specialist Ride Wild. In attendance at the launch was Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Brendan Griffin TD and Failte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly The Wild Atlantic Sportif is a unique 17- stage cycle event, which will cover over 2,000kms of the Wild Atlantic Way. Cycle SuperStore will be hosting an E-bike demo day on Saturday 22nd of July. The event will take place in Cycle SuperStore between 12pm – 4pm. A small selection of E-bikes will be on display, affording  people an opportunity to examine and test ride the bikes. Cycle SuperStore E-bike expert, Gary Byrne will be on hand to answer any queries people may have. Cycle SuperStore is Ireland’s largest bicycle retailer and stocks a large range of E-bikes. Cycle SuperStore are delighted to announce that July’s ride out will take place on July 22nd starting at 10am.  A brand new 70km route will be used for this event. The route will take participants along the N81 and towards Manor Kilbride. Before reaching Manor Kilbride, they will take a left and head towards Sally Gap. Once there, they will turn left and head along the Military Road. Just before the 38 kilometre mark, they will turn right and head towards Glengree and in to Enniskerry. Once in Enniskerry, they will head out towards Kilternan, Stepaside and in towards Sandyford.…

It was another hectic weekend for the Cycle SuperStore staff. First up was mountain bike expert Mick Jordan. Mick traveled west to Westport and took part in the Gaelforce West. After an early start of 5:30am for a race start of 7:00am, Mick won his age category and finished an amazing 8 o/a. Mick commented, “the day started dismal with rain and wind, but cleared up on the beach for the first wave start at 7am, by the time we had reach Croagh Patrick, the clouds had disappeared, to reveal Westport bay in all its finest”. On the 20th of June, Cycle SuperStore paid a visit to Colgate Palmolive as part of the cycle to work scheme. Cycle SuperStore staff member Mark Fagan demonstrated to Colgate Palmolive employees the benefits and the savings they can avail of through the Bike to Work scheme. While Mark was carrying out his demonstration, bike mechanic Martin Fagan was out in the car park servicing employee’s bikes . Biking Dirty and Cycle SuperStore are delighted to announce the first Mountain Bike Ride Out will be taking place on the 1st of July. The first ride out will be taking place at Three Rock on the Red Loop. Participants will meet at the Frameworks building at 9am and will have their bikes transported to Three Rock. The ride out will last approximately 2-2.5 hours. All participant will receive expert tips and advise on basic trail skills. As entries flood in, Cycle SuperStore is delighted to announce the proposed route for Saturday 24th June Rideout. This is a brand new route and has never been used in the past. Like previous routes, participants will head out the N81. Just past the 14km, participants will turn off the N81 and head towards  the village of Manor Kilbride. Just before reaching the village, participants will take another left and make their way towards Roundwood. Biking Dirty and Cycle Super Store are in the final process of organising MTB ride outs. These events will typically take place on a Saturday morning starting at 9am. Participants will meet at the Frameworks building and Cycle SuperStore will transport the participant’s bikes to the location. During the ride outs participants will be provided with helpful tips and information on mountain biking from a host of experts. These ride outs will usually last up to two hours. Once the event is completed, participants will have their bikes transported back to the FrameWorks building were they will receive post event…

The next CycleSuperStore Rideout, will be taking place on the 24th of June, starting at 10am. A brand new route will be used for this event. This new route will take participants out towards Brittas and on towards Manor Kilbride and on to Sally Gap. Once at Sally Gap, participants will make their way along the Military Road and back towards Dublin City.
