Sunny weather greeted the 40 participants who took part in last Saturday’s Ride Out. The 70km route took participants along the N81, before turning towards Manor Kilbride and towards Sally Gap. In the stunning surroundings of  Lough Tay, participants stopped for a well earned break. Once everyone had refueled and were ready to go, they made there way past Djouce woods, and headed into Enniskerry. Once there, they headed back to Dublin, via Kilternan and Stepaside and back to the shop. Congratulations to Ernestas Misevicius, who won a ASSOS/BMC Irish National Champions jersey. Sometimes cyclists are convinced that their saddle is fine as they find it “comfortable”. What people must realise about saddles is that as humans we will sit whichever way we have to in order to feel comfortable. A common failure I’ve come across is the rider who sits very poorly to accommodate the saddle. Yesterday saw the launch of the Wild Atlantic Way Sportif. This new event has the backing of Failte Ireland and is being run by cycling specialist Ride Wild. In attendance at the launch was Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Brendan Griffin TD and Failte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly The Wild Atlantic Sportif is a unique 17- stage cycle event, which will cover over 2,000kms of the Wild Atlantic Way. Most people would never of heard of Michel Debien. Michel paid Cycle SuperStore an unexpected visit, yesterday (July 4th) during the Irish leg of his epic 14,247 Km cycle around Europe. Michel, expects to complete the 14,000 km trip in 100 days and in the process visit 38 countries  The cycle started on the 21st June, when he left his home city of Toulouse. Michel, had already visited Spain, Portugal, Andorra, France and Wales before arriving in Rosslare yesterday morning.
