Are You Taking Good Care Of Your Shoes?

0

Cycling Shoes are made specifically for the sport, and they can improve your performance and overall biking experience, indoors or out. They can also be an expensive investment, with some models costing over €400.

Our friends in Crono shoes have put together a few simple steps to make your shoes last longer.

·        Use a damp cloth after every ride to help remove dust and dirt.

·        If you have a pair of gravel or MTB shoes, remove the laces and loosen up the Boa buckles if the shoes are dirty with mud.

·       Place the shoes in water mixed with mild dishwasher soap or liquid.

·        Scrub them gently with a soft brush. You can use an old toothbrush to clean those hard-to-reach areas of the shoe.

·        Never put the shoes in a dryer or leave them to dry near a heat source. Instead, fill the shoes with newspaper and leave them to dry out.

·        You should also check your shoes regularly to see if everything is good condition and working order. This would include checking your cleats are clean to ensure the shoe releases from the pedals smoothly. Always replace your cleats if they are worn.

Our full range of Crono shoes can be found HERE. All Crono shoes are handmade in Treviso, the heartland of Italian Cycling.
